The ITC Desk Calendar for 2012 celebrates this landmark achievement. Turning back the pages of history, we transport you to another era of resplendent luxury depicted through miniature paintings of the 17th & 18th centuries. Commissioned by kings, courtiers and noblemen, the miniatures provide a realistic portrayal of royal life of the times. The illustrations, which cover a range of subjects, provide a wealth of detail on the grandeur and opulence of royal living. A focal point in almost each of these paintings however, is the importance given to natural beauty. Alongside the magnificent architecture, the miniatures depict the abundance of nature with lush forests, serene lakes, landscaped gardens and a variety of birds and animals providing a colourful backdrop to the paintings.
