In line with its commitment to the society, ITC Foods is, for the third successive year, conducting a nationwide Sunfeast Hara Banao Campaign. The campaign aims at educating children about the growing environmental adversities and how each of them can contribute in “saving the environment”.
This year, actor Shah Rukh Khan is involved with the campaign, for which over 3,00,000 students from more than 400 schools spread across five cities in the country registered.
The environmental campaign, which will run across schools in the cities will organise a signature drive ~ Sow a Seed Today Campaign. The second phase of the month-long campaign will host the Sunfeast Hara Banao Week which consists of a series of Environment Fairs across five cities. The Environment Fair will be kick started with the planting of a sapling and a march in each city, said a release issued by the company here today.
The Environment Fair will showcase projects by the students of various schools, and also organise various inter-school contests based on environment.
Mr Ravi Naware, the divisional chief executive, ITC Limited’s Foods Business, said Sunfeast believed that children are the best harbingers of change and improvement.
Several schools will also be awarded for their commitment toward showcasing critical environmental issues and spreading awareness on the subject, he informed.
