Mr. Subhendu Kumar Banerjee, former Director, passed away on May 30, 2005.

Mr. S. K. Banerjee, Attorney-at-Law, Advocate & Consultant, joined the Company on 1st May, 1955 and on confirmation was designated Assistant to Manager, Legal. He became Assistant Manager, Legal, in 1958. He was then designated Company Solicitor in 1970 and in 1973 was also appointed Secretary of the Company. On 2nd April, 1974 he was appointed as a Director on the Board. After a career spanning 21 years, he retired prematurely on 1st November, 1976, as Director.

Mr. Banerjee is survived by his wife, Mrs. Uma Banerjee, son, Rahul and daughter, Indrani.
