As part of the Images Fashion Awards 2001, ITC chairman Y C Deveshwar has been honoured with the 'Retail Visionary of the Year' award, instituted by Images, India's largest fashion and retail magazine. The award was presented at Mumbai last week. The award was given for Deveshwar's stewardship of its Lifestyle retail business division, which opened 25 retail outlets in India during the past one year. 'Wills Lifestyle' stores offer the consumer 'Wills Sport' brand of casual wear. The chain is all set to open its first outlet in Mumbai this week. The chain also bagged two other awards - 'Best Retail Launch of the Year' and 'Most Exclusive Retail Chain of the Year' at the ceremony.
