Kolkata, July 2

SEND A greeting card to "your loved one" and with a little luck a brand new Hyundai Santro car too!

This one is different for the lucky winner is not the buyer but the one who receives the greeting card. Either way, none is going to regret because the "loved one" is also the "closest one".

This unique contest comes from the house of ITC, the cigarette and hotels conglomerate which has recently forayed into the goodwill business of greeting cards. Under the brand name Expressions, these cards for "all seasons" goes one step better as recipients can look forward to a plethora of gifts.

Thus, the expressions to the "loved ones" could extend to gorgeous gifts like Crew-Neck T-shirts, Timex wrist watches, microwave ovens and not to mention the beautiful Santro car. According to ITC's greetings cards business CEO Chand Das, "this is a great opportunity to present to your loved ones memorable gifts!".

The company has launched "How Lucky is Your Loved One", a contest along with the sale of the Expression greeting cards. When a customer buys an Expression card, a gift voucher is presented along with it. All one needs to do is fill in the details of one's loved one. Winners will be decided on the basis of mini draws to be held on July 15 and August 15, 2001.

The grand draw will be held on August 25, where the lucky one will take away the prized Santro. There are some consolation prizes as well, like a stay for two in one of the ITC Welcomgroup hotels and World Space Hitachi Receivers.

"Expressions will be one this August", said an ITC spokesman. In this short time, however, the product is available in as many as 7,000 outlets spread over 250 cities and towns in 76 different designs in the price range between Rs. 5 to Rs. 54 per card.

"Even the five-rupee card could fetch you the Santro", the spokesman said.
