Watch how ITC motivated needy farmers to form forestry groups to plant pulpwood trees on their low-yield lands. Assisted with subsidized saplings, loans and land development support, these farmers are now self-sufficient and free of debt. With introduction of agro-model plantations, farmers are now growing pulp-wood trees and agricultural crops in the same plot. Encouraged by ITC, the farmers have now formed mutually cooperative societies that help them bypass middle men and sell directly to earn the full price.
