In 2008, the CII conferred the National Award for Excellence in Energy Management for the ninth time in succession, the National Award for Excellence in Water Management for the fourth year in succession and also the Best Innovative Project Award (2006) to our Bhadrachalam unit. The awards were given for the successful implementation of energy saving projects and for significant reduction in specific energy and water consumption. |

As pioneers of the 'Clean Bleaching Technology', we introduced the world-renowned 'Elemental Chlorine Free' (ECF) bleaching technology in India, certified by SGS. Over time, we have upgraded this technology to 'Light ECF with Ozone treatment' that uses even lesser amounts of chemicals with minimal toxicity in effluent discharge. |
