One of ITC’s major sustainable development initiatives is anchored on empowering women. In the very first year of its implementation, ITC reached out to 5,000 women in 150 villages to make a difference to households hitherto subsisting below the poverty line. The objective of this programme is to nurture women entrepreneurs whose earnings would contribute to family incomes.
