    The 'Well-being Out of Waste' initiative inculcates the habit of source segregation and recycling. The initiative currently extends to 400 municipal wards of Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Coimbatore and several towns of Telangana.

    ITC's Social Investments Programme is spread over 26 states covering 166 districts.

    Primary Education Initiative: Benefitting over 4,60,000 children
    • During 2015-16, 45,823 children were covered under this initiative comprising 'Read India Plus' programme and 176 Supplementary Learning Centres to mainstream out-of-school children into regular schools. Till date, the total number of children benefitted has crossed 4,60,000.
    ITC e-Choupal: Empowering 4 million farmers
    • ITC's globally acknowledged e-Choupal initiative is the world's largest rural digital infrastructure benefitting over 4 million farmers.
    Over 50,000 sustainable livelihoods for rural women
    • The programme aims at economic mainstreaming of rural women including the ultra-poor by enabling them to earn independent incomes. These women were gainfully employed either through micro-enterprises or assisted with loans to pursue income generating activities.
    Animal husbandry services for over 13,00,000 milch animals
    • The programme for genetic improvement of cattle through artificial insemination to produce high-yielding crossbred progenies is implemented through 238 Cattle Development Centres covering over 10,000 villages.
    Afforestation programme generates over 100 million person-days of employment ITC's bio-diversity programme now covers nearly 4,000 hectares
    • The objective is to protect native flora and fauna and providing other eco-system services.
    ITC's Vocational Training programme - Training over 31,000 youth
    • This programme played an active role in building and upgrading skills of marginalised youth to better meet the emerging needs of the job market.
