At ITC, the safety of people and ensuring a hygienic environment for food production are of paramount importance. Highest standards of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) practices are at the core of all ITC operations. To fight the threat of Coronavirus, our first response was to ramp up standards of safety and hygiene.
This meant carefully planned physical distancing measures, thermal monitoring of all workers and frequent hand sanitization at strategic points. Factory machinery and vehicles were also thoroughly sanitized to minimize chances of contagion. Automated production ensured that the products were untouched by human hands.
