ITC Hotels launches the ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa
The Economic Times - 31 Oct 2018

ITC Hotels announced the opening of its 13th luxury hotel in India, the ITC  Grand Goa, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, formerly known as the Park  Hyatt Goa Resort & Spa, on Arossim beach in Cansaulim, South Goa on  Wednesday.

The  252-keys beach-side hotel will have 6 signature dining options, besides ITC's  Kaya Kalp Royal spa. Set amidst 45-acres, ITC Hotels had announced the  successful acquisition of Park Hyatt Goa Resort and Spa in September.

The  acquisition is a part of an auction held by Industrial Finance Corporation of  India (IFCI) for Rs 541 crores in 2015, and upheld by the Supreme Court in its  19th March judgement. Business continuity remains top priority for the chain  and efforts are underway to commence operations at the earliest, ITC Hotels had  then said in a statement.

Nakul  Anand, executive director, ITC Ltd. said: "With this resort ITC Hotels has  expanded its footprint in a globally sought after leisure destination in Asia.  The addition of ITC Grand Goa Resort & Spa to our luxury hotel portfolio  further reinforces ITC’s vision to consolidate its portfolio in key business  and leisure destinations in the country."

The  property is a 30-minute drive from the Goa International Airport and its six  dining concepts include Kebabs & Kurries-showcasing traditional Indian  styles of cooking, Tempero featuring distinct influences in Goan cooking,  Ottimo for pan-Italian cuisine, Pavilion at the Market Place - an all-day dining  place featuring Indian and inventive international cuisines, The Royal Afghan - a  seaside barbecue and grill outlet and Farol, a multi-level poolside bar.
